About Mike Ostresh

Mike Ostresh, a Humorous Illustrator, has been cartooning since childhood.  A graduate of Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville he was staff editorial cartoonist and also created Kyna the comic strip about the campus cougar.  Mike also held the position as staff cartoonist at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley and was awarded Cartoonist of the Year for 2 consecutive years in statewide competitions. An original Step Dad cartoon honoring the late Charles Schulz was requested by Jeanie Schulz to be displayed in the Charles M. Schulz Museum. 

Mike has worked for the newspaper industry for close to 30 years. Currently, his comic strip, Today’s Special, is published weekly in the Advantage News.  He currently resides in the St. Louis area with his wife Tina and son Noah.
